Disection of a Heart

 Hello, Readers!

Today I will be telling you guys what we have been doing in biology for the past few weeks. So for the past few weeks, we have been dissecting animal parts. 2 weeks ago we did a chicken leg and this week we did a heart well not our heart but a sheep's heart because it's similar to our heart almost. The purpose of this is so we can see how the heart works and how it looks like outside of our body.

Step by steps,

  1. So first you grab some newspaper and lay it on the table,

  1. After you wear some plastic gloves and you go and grab you tray where you can put your heart in,

  1. After you have done all of that the teacher will give you some equipment and your heart so you can use it to cut and see in the heart,

  1. On the outside of the heart, you will see that there is some fat around the heart so as to protect it.

  1. Then the teacher will tell you to find the right and the left side of the heart,

  2. Then she will tell you to start cutting and finding the important parts of the heart.

To be honest I did like this dissection because we got to see everything around the heart and on the inside.

Here is a picture of the heart,
