Daylight Saving

Hello Readers!

Today I will be telling you about some daylight saving that we did today and here is some question that I have done here it is.

  1. When does Daylight Saving happen each year in New Zealand?

Daylight saving starts each year at 2 am on the last Sunday in September, and ends at 3 am on the first Sunday in April 2021.

  1. What year did Daylight Saving start in New Zealand?

New Zealand first introduced daylight saving time in 1927.

  1. Why was Daylight Saving started?

Because farmers were working at night so they decided to add in an extra hour to the clock so they don’t have to work overnight and they would have saved energy too for the day.

  1. Read the following article and write a paragraph (3-8 sentences) on whether or not you think that Daylight Saving should continue in New Zealand.

I think that daylight saving should still keep on going because it would be pointless if we take it away because people are used to it and know and it would be useless is if we take it away.

  1. Do all the states in Australia have Daylight Saving? Who does and who doesn’t?

Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and South Australia all have daylight saving, while Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia do not

  1. Write 3 tips to help others adjust to Daylight Saving this weekend.

  • Daylight saving time throws off your body clock.

  • Avoid electronics before going to bed.

  • Don't overdo it with the caffeine.
